The number of devices attached to networks continues to grow —both in number and in complexity. As network assets and users come and go, IT and security professionals need the ability to track devices, vulnerabilities and user behavior. The ability to effectively manage these devices, especially with limited IT resources, is crucial. Managing the risk associated with those devices is also a top priority.
The ATLAS Asset Identification, Prioritization, and Management module enables customers to view the internal security state of their network and manage licensing for their security devices.
Identify Network Assets, Security Issues and Network Changes
ATLAS identifies infrastructure assets, security issues and network changes. Includes Change Monitoring and Management, Asset and License Management, Network State Traffic Monitoring and Risk Analysis. The module allows customers to see all internal network assets in the network segment in which the module is in place. Vigilar uses both passive and active scanning that will identify when any new ports on network assets open up along with identifying security vulnerabilities.
The module provides a unified view of every network device and user. Customers can track network performance, bandwidth usage and traffic flows by device and user. Malicious activity and policy abuse can be detected, allowing IT staff to take the appropriate remediation steps.
Prioritize Devices, Users and Based on Risk Score
ATLAS automatically calculates a risk score for all assets based on type of vulnerabilities, impact, and exposure. Assets are prioritized and ATLAS provides an asset-based risk score. This enables users to respond to security issues and effectively manage risk.
Manage Licenses for Network Assets
Vigilar’s Asset Identification, Prioritization, and Management module also includes license management capabilities. The license management capability allows customers to manually add and manage license information associated with specific network assets. Each asset can have up to six licenses associated with it.
